Does Veeam support dynamic optimization during backups?(vm's dynamically moving to hosts with more resources) Not sure what would happen if a vm live migrated during a backup.
I would think offhost would handle this better than other methods since the proxy mounts and backs up from the CSV which takes the host coordinating the backup for the vm running on it out of the picture.

Re: Dynamic Optimization during backup window
Hi Collin,
I haven't tried that, but I assume that the behavior will be similar to what we see in storage snapshots for VMware. When the snapshot is taken and is mounted to the offhost proxy, all the data will be retrieved from that very snapshot on the proxy, so the production VM can potentially be migrated.
Need to confirm that though.
Thanks!
