Hi Guys,

I am install a Veeam Backup & Replication with a trial license:
1) hyper-v (windows 2019) - physical machine A - vm to backup it is here

2) VBR (windows 2019) - virtual machine in another physical hyper-v
All of them in a local network without firewall.

Code: Select all

I Select the VM on the hyper-v to backup, it´s a single VM:
When I click on Start Backup, the veeam give an error on the job and show this log:

TheVBR have the Cloud Connect installed on the menu.

Can you help me with that error ?

Hi Robson

It seems you have installed a license with the cloud connect option. You can‘t use a Veeam Cloud Connect Server to create backups.

Please download the correct license without Cloud Connect if you want to use VBR to protect your HyperV VMs.
And if you want to provide Cloud Connect Services for your clients, you have to build another infrastructure for that. A dedicated windows server for the VBR installation is required.

Hi, my login is Pro Partner, I go to menu => Products => And Download the license that I see there for VBR.

I will go to the other menu => License management => Trial licenses => And try do request the right license for only local backups => Veeam Backup & Replication, I will try it, and see now if it is work.

Please let me know if it works out.

If you are a VSPC, please add yourself to the private Cloud & Service Provider user group. That gets you access to our private sub-forum for the service products.

I am see now, and correct the last post, my login is Pro Partner.
I download the correct license, and now VBR is working. Thanks for your help.

I choose ProPartners on forum menu for access this group.

I did something similar, we always ran our multiple Veeam servers locally, so with V12 I installed the centralized management, but I checked the 'Cloud Connect' option on the Web management and now it pushed Cloud Connect to all my devices and I get this same error. I removed Cloud Connect from the servers and the web manager but still have the same issue. I don't need the cloud connect as all this is on the same datacenter , just figured it would be good to have the option in the future.

Hi Ben

One enterprise manager can only manage one type of license.
If you ever want to implement Cloud Connect and use the Veeam Enterprise Manager for Cloud Connect, you need two of them.
One for your regular backup server, one for Veeam Cloud Connect backup server.

But if you want to implement cloud connect, you can also checkout our Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC). The local backup server will connect over cloud connect to the VSPC. You will be able to use the VSPC as a centralized tool to manage and monitor your local VBR server and their licenses.
