Excluding Disk from backup when using 20+ VHDXs?
I have an unusual situation, I have a clients VM with 25 plus VHDXs attached. I need to exclude one disk from the backup, however Veeam will only allow exclusion of disks up to Number 15 on any one controller. Is there any way I can exclude disk over this number for a single controller?
Microsoft recommend using a single controller in a VM for performance, rather than multiple controllers, so i want to avoid tearing the VM disk configuration apart.
"SCSI controllers expose SCSI disks to the virtual machine, and each virtual SCSI controller can support up to 64 devices. For optimal performance, we recommend that you attach multiple disks to a single virtual SCSI controller and create additional controllers only as they are required to scale the number of disks connected to the virtual machine. "

Could the jobs be changed to only include the volumes you want instead of excluding the ones you don't?

That's actually how you have to do it now that I think about it, I'd phrased the initial post incorrectly. However, there is no option to include disks past number 0:15 on the SCSI controller in the Veeam Interface.

Not fixed yet for Hyper-V it seems - I'm on 9.5u4. Will have to wait for v10

Yes you're right, I didn't read Gostev's comment carefully

As an update - I'm using the Veeam agent on the VM instead - this allows for full control of the volumes to be Included\excluded.
