I've noticed a reoccurring issue on backup jobs with the Application-Aware processing enabled. Every 4 of 5 days we must restart the Hyper-V Volume Shadow Copy Requestor (vmicvss) on the VM being backed up. This occurs on wide range of VMs; some with SQL or Exchange some with-out any specific VSS enabled applications. All are running on Server 2012R2 Failover Clusters.
I see post-job activity but is there a way in Veeam to run a Pre-Job Activity ?

Re: Hyper-V Volume Shadow Copy Requestor
Hi Brian,
You can schedule pre-job activity if you use Windows Task Scheduler to launch the job. In your case the workflow should look like this:
1. Launch a pre-job script via Task Scheduler
2. Then trigger backup job via PowerShell sciprt
P.S. what errors do you see in the Windows Event log when this issue happens?
Thanks!

Re: Hyper-V Volume Shadow Copy Requestor
Btw, Veeam B&R v8 will allow to specify pre-job script via GUI.
