I've not looked before but out of interest, when performing an instant VM recovery on Hyper-V over a failed VM (ie. without restoring to an alternate location), does it use CBT when moving back over to production storage?
Just wondered if the transport agent which is deployed for the redirection is smart enough not to overwrite the failed vm completely and just leave it there ready for a CBT restore when its ready?

Re: Instant VM recovery and CBT
Dave, existing VM files are deleted when performing Instant VM Recovery to original location.
