Linux Repository - Known Issues?

I purchased a copy of Backup Essentials for Hyper-V and will need to backup four or five Hyper-V VMs. I might use Windows Agent to backup a few client machines, but that is not for sure yet. Regardless, I plan to use a Dell T330 (8GB RAM) with two 6TB drives in a RAID 1 configuration for the backup repository. I will install Ubuntu Server 16.04.2 LTS onto the T330. Are there any known issues when it comes to using a Linux backup repository with Veeam? I wanted to verify before I purchase the T330.

Not really, sometimes here and there people report some issues with installation of required packages onto some flavours of Linux (e.g. QNAP/Synology/ReadyNAS), some of them even manage to setup Veeam repository on freeNAS. Just make sure that you have all required Perl modules installed.
