Hi All,
Is there a way to add a NAS QNAP as a managed server?
I explain:
I have the need to specifically File Copy some files from a server to a NAS QNAP location/share.
These files comes from a legacy server, able to perform their own data backups. The legacy app allows that.
This server is managed by Veeam.
NAS QNAP is a backup repository managed by Veeam also.
Unfortunatelly,
I can select the files to file copy but Veeam does not recognize any share/location of the NAS QNAP.
I believe it can only copy between managed server.
Nevertheless I not able to add the NAS QNAP as a managed server....
Is there any way to do it?
All the best!

Re: NAS QNAP as Managed Server vs File Copy Job
Hey Paulo,
You've said NAS QNAP is a backup repository, which I believe is CIFS type.
In this case you should be able to target the repository by File Copy job.
Another approach could be adding Windows server repository with the NAS mapped as a volume by iSCSI, if the iSCSI connection is supported by your QNAP. Thanks!

Re: NAS QNAP as Managed Server vs File Copy Job
Regarding FileCopy the destination fields does not allow me to select any share, nor repositories. Only allows me servers.
I manage to read from any source by mapping a drive letter to a ipadddress\folder
BUT for destination, when using same drive mapping workaround or placing the ip\DestinyFolder does not work. I say, when running it issues an "Acess Denied" but I'm pretty sure credentials are ok.
PS: iSCSI is suported but cannot use it due to yet other restrictions.
