Successfully restored an AutoDesk Vault Server

Hi out there,

has anybody restored an Autodesk vault-Server from a VEAAM backup (just the VM - not using the backup data of the built-in "backup-batch-script)?

Haven't worked with Autodesk Vault server for restores. Is there a problem with the restore? Can you let us know what goes wrong?

I've done some research. There was a pdf from autodesk (dated 2014) where the requirements for a successful backup w/a 3rd party tool were listed. As far as I understood Veeam would fit. But in "autodesk knowledge network" topic: "Is a Veeam backup enough to restore a Vault?" it's "we won't support it".

My Q. is headed to forum members who might have successfully used a Veeam backup of "Vault" for a restore.
