Hi all,
I've seen suggestions about using Veeam Agent for Windows to migrate a VMware guest to HyperV. But would this work for a server that has deduplicated volumes, where the files actually add up to more than the volume size? Would the VAW backup match the original volume sizes but rehydrate the files and run out of space?
TIA

Re: VMware to HyperV migration of deduped volumes?
Hi Ian,
Not sure I understand the question. You're planning to back up and then restore a VM from vSphere to Hyper-V, right? Since you will be doing a full backup (entire OS) and the configuration will be preserved, then volumes inside the Guest OS will be not affected by this transition.
Let me know if I understood your question correctly. Thanks!
