cannot install veeam monitor using database

I cannot install this veeam monitor using a remote db server. I initially had it on 2005 express and I detached and moved it to a 2005 remote db server. I configured the odbc connection as well as enabled named pipes and restarted services. It still says

unabled to connect to remote database
