Hello chaps,
Can I get some confirmation on what exactly the performance dials for memory is showing. Whether it is actual memory being active allocated or consumed? I have noticed that are middle dial is slowly creeping up to red and just wanted to confirm exactly the metric it uses.
Hope this makes sense guys

Re: Performance tabs metric confusion
Hi Sam,
For virtual machines we show memory usage which is calculated using this formula (percentage of configured virtual machine “physical” memory):
And this is for hosts (percentage of available machine memory):
For all other top level objects we use consumed memory counter.
Hope this helps!
