Hi everyone,
just made a shocking experience: our sql transaction log backup obviously doesn't work properly since more than a year. So I wannted to do a test-restore with transaction logs to a certain point in time and wondered why I couldn't do that. After a while I realized that no logs were backed up and how I saw that this is the case since more than a year...
To be more precise: The transaction log backup works and finishes successful most of the time, but it does not backup any data - the log backup size is always 0 since more than a year.
Now of course, it has to be investigated, but there should be a veeam one alarm that maybe monitors something like this and tells us "ey, your log backup size is 0 since more than X days - can that really be the case for a production database??"
The thing is that surebackup won't consider testing transaction log restore, so we have to rely on other mechanisms. Thanks!

Re: shocking experience regarding sql log backup - alarm missing
Hello Michael,
Certainly this is a great alarm use-case. Let me check if we have all the required data to introduce it on upcoming releases.
Thank you so much!
