Real-time performance monitoring and troubleshooting

I have recently taken over maintaining or VM infrastructure. My first task was to get our Veeam Monitor alerts working. I believe the previous Admin had this working before he left. But I can not seem to get it working. We use google apps for our email. In searching the forum I found an old post about the lack of SSL support for Veeam monitoring. Is this still a limitation or am I doing something wrong. I have checked "Use authentication" and put the correct port in the client mail setting "port 465".
If this is still a limitation of 4.5 is it resolved in version 5?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should upgrade your existing Veeam Monitor installation to version 5 in order to send emails with SSL security enabled.
