[v12] Veeam One Agent service credentials on monitored hosts
My search skills probably need some improvement...
Any way to run this as Local System?
If not - what are the required privileges for the user being used?
Does this support gMSA?
Thanks.

Re: [v12] Veeam One Agent service credentials on monitored hosts
Hello,
Are we talking about the Veeam ONE Agent we install on the VBR Servers? Or the credentials to monitor guest VMs.
Please help us clarifying, or post some screenshots.
Thank you

Hello doktornotor,
As far as I know, Veeam ONE Agent would work under the local system, however, by default, it is installed under a service account. No records about gMSA were found. I'll ask our QA team to check both.
Why are you asking? Did you face any issues?
Thanks

I was just testing. Once you change it to Local System on the VBR server, the Veeam ONE server cannot communicate with the agent. Thanks.

Re: [v12] Veeam One Agent service credentials on monitored hosts
Hello doktornotor,
The agent which is installed on the VONE machine (aka master agent) could run under Local System. The only note is that all VONE services must run the same account. There is a guide page on how to change them.
The agent which is installed on the VBR side cannot run under the Local System and gMSA. The reason is that VONE is expecting the agent account to be the same as the VBR monitoring account. Currently, it is impossible to add VBR into monitoring using these accounts because there is no interactive logon.
Thanks
