Replication From AHV to VMware ESXi

Hello all,

I have a legacy 3-Tier Environnement (08 ESXi 6.0 Servers + 02 ToR Switches + 01 Storage array) and want to migrate to an Nutanix HCI using AHV.

I want to decommission all the 8 ESXi servers and use them for my DR Site.

I want to use Veeam Backup & Replication to replicate AHV VMs to the ESXi Platform located at the DR Site.

My concern is : is it possible to replicate AHV VMs to ESXi plateform using Veeam Backup & Replication ? Are there some prerequisites ?

You can‘t replicate the VMs with a Replica Job.
But you can start a Instant VM Recovery of a Nutanix VM Backup to your esxi Cluster.

I‘m using it all the time to test restores of Nutanix VMs.
