Hi Everyone,
I want to know, how to verify encrypted backup job for Nutanix AHV, because currently the encryption level only available for repository level and not for backup job level.
I was exported the disk, and import them again, but when carrying out the import process, it doesn't ask for the encryption password.
Any suggestion for this? Because this is a requirement when using the Veeam user acceptance test.
Thanks for your kind of answer.
Best regards,
Ryan

Re: Verify or Test Encrypted Backup for Nutanix AHV Backup
To test decryption, you will need a second Veeam Backup & Replication (or a second VBR DB) where the password has never been entered. Otherwise backup will be automatically decrypted with a known password.
As an alternative, you can try changing your password (edit the existing password, do not select another one) before the import. If I remember correctly, that will not allow backup to be automatically decrypted since the original secret is lost.

Hi Kochkin,
Thanks for your answer.
I have done testing using another Veeam Backup & Replication according to your suggestion and it worked.
I have also done a test using Veeam Backup Extractor.
All of this is for UAT needs for my customers.
Cheers!
