No "placeholder" files anymore on SOBR v12?

Post by flomp »

Hello,

just out of curiosity:

When Veeam V11 removed a backup from the Performance extent (so that it remained only on the Capacity extent), it left a much smaller .VBK oder .VIB file in the directory of the Performance extent that only contained some metadata. (And when the backup expired and was also deleted from the Capacity extent, this placeholder file was also deleted.)

It seems, that in V12, this behavior changed and that there is no placeholder file anymore. Is this correct?

Thanks

Hello,
yes, we removed the entire index in performance tier so you will see more differences in V12 :-)

Best regards,
Hannes
