Hi
We are considering another option for our client.
We want to make the second backup copy, about 30 TB, to cloud object storage.
The problem is that copy jobs do not work directly with cloud object storage. Nor can I use capacity tier archived with the SOBR offload jobs because they move my data and do not copy it (in version 10 they told me that Veeam can copy in addition to moving).
I have thought about putting a Veeam server with an internal disk in the cloud that serves as an intermediate buffer in the cloud where you can temporarily save copies produced by copy backup jobs. From this second repository in cloud would make the transfer to cloud object storage with SOBR offload jobs each day.
Is it correct, is it the only way to do it or would there be another way to copy directly to cloud object storage? Does I need 30 TB for the buffer disk or I need less because I can transfer the data to Cos in real time? I remember that I don't want to move my primary backup, but copy it to cloud object storage.
Thank you!!

Re: Copy of primary backup to second copy in cloud
Hello,
I suggest to wait for version 10. V10 allows to copy data to object storage without a backup copy job.

Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Copy of primary backup to second copy in cloud
Therefore and from what I understand using an intermediate buffer disk if we could obtain a solution but it would not be optimal and it is better to wait for version 10.
Ok Hannesk
Thank you!
