Hi,
We have an issue with replicas which we think could easily be rectified by Veeam.
When we create a replica job and set the target location to be a datastore that is part of an sDRS cluster, there is a chance that automated sDRS could move one or more inflight replicas - this subsequently breaks the replication.
If Veeam B&R could be modified so that when it creates the replica it automatically sets up an automated sDRS exception rule so that the replica is always ignored during an sDRS automated move, then the problem would be resolved.
Is there any chance this simple fix could be applied - it would certainly save us a fair few headaches and improve reliability.
thanks!

Re: Replica problem where target is an auto sDRS datastore
Hi Ashley,
Can you please share the rule example that you're using right now to address this, so I could discuss your situation internally?
Thanks!

Additionally, if this parameter is configurable via PowerCLI, you can write a script that adds corresponding rule before the replication job is executed. Thanks.

Re: Replica problem where target is an auto sDRS datastore
thanks for that.
If I go to the datastore cluster properties, the replica will be created (at the first run through off the replication job).
I then have to manually go in and change the replica properties so that each and every replica VM has storage DRS automation set to be "Disabled".
If Veeam B&R can be set so that when the initial replica is created it's DRS automation mode is set to "Disabled" it would resolve the issue.
thanks a lot!
