Database Collection Failed

Post by Wapinoux »

Hello,

Case: 00509196
Product: Veeam One Enterprise Manager
Version: 6.5.0.109
OS: Windows 2008 R2 SP1
SQL: Express embeded
Issue: Since few days, the Database Collection Failed with following error:
"Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. The statement has been terminated."
In the same time, http console is not available anymore ("Loading" during few minutes, then "Timeout" popup error).

I opened a case, and it seems that table "BackupTaskSessions" from one Veeam Backup server take too long time to query.
So i checked database, the table contain only 111269 rows.
But if i try to query: SELECT * FROM [VeeamBackup].[dbo].[Backup.Model.BackupTaskSessions]
It take a very long time to show me the result.

Nothing regarding the performances on the veeam backup server and Veeam EM.

Actually the only answer of the support is : delete entries.
But we need the jobs history, i can't delete them.
One of our DBA founded that indexes seems to be very fragmented.

I really think that the problem come from the DB/Tables or Query made by Veeam.

Can someone assist us on this topic ?

Thanks

Hi

I highly doubt anyone will be able to assist you with this kind of issue on these forums. I recommend you explain to support that the proposed solution does not work for you, and have them come up with a different one.

Thanks!
