Where to configure email for job reports?

Post by Lyle »

Just installed 7.0.0.771 on a Windows 2008 Standard R2 SP1 server. A very vanilla, default config, with Proxy, Repository, and Server all on the one machine. Added my vCenter server and successfully did a backup of a VM.

But I can't figure out where to configure email job reports. Doesn't seem to be part of the backup job properties. I figure I have to say where to send the email, and maybe specify the Exchange server.

Thanks for any help....Lyle

Hey Lyle,

To configure general email notification settings, select Options from the main menu (blue button). Select the "Enable email notification" check box and specify email notification settings.

You can configure notification emails for specific jobs within the job's Storage section => Advanced => Notifications tab.

Thanks, Jamie. That's what I needed.

I'm sure this is in the manual somewhere, but without an index, I couldn't find it.

Lyle, here's a nice searchable manual, just in case.
