This week, I migrated Veeam to a new VM, vCenter to a new VM, updated our DR site's vSphere hosts from ESXi 5.1 to the latest 5.5 build (to match the new production hosts), and applied the latest Veeam B&R 7 patch when it was released. The backup jobs and copies worked great.
However...I'm having a bit of an odd behavior on our replications: The proxy VM at our DR site normally has used Hotadd on the host its running on and network for the other host. It's never been a big deal because the WAN connection is the bottleneck. Now, during the "calculating digests" step, it will eventually fail and give an error like this:
Code: Select all
2/15/2014 11:19:22 AM :: Processing 'Replication Job Name' Error: Client error: Failed to open VDDK disk [[datastore] vm_name/vmname-000002.vmdk] ( is read-only mode - [true] )
