VEEAM Sharepoint Explorer

Post by srx »

Case ID: 00511244
Product: VEEAM SharePoint Explorer; SQL Server 2012; SharePoint 2010

Hi,
I can't recovery items from our SharePoint, because the SQL-Express Database is too small (< 30GB) for our SharePoint-Database.

I read the KB: http://www.veeam.com/kb1769 and installed a SQL-Server 2012 (with a new instance) and created a Database with the same owner, which handles VEEAM.

In SharePoint-Explorer I changed the database in the Options to the new SQL-2012 Databse and when I try to restore items I get:

"File is a Directory"

Now, what's the Problem? I can open the Database with SQL Management Studio - but VEEAM doesn't? :?:

Dan, please continue working with support on this, as debug logs investigation is required here.

Hi Alex, I thought it would be better via Forum - because of the reply-time. And because here more Mods can help... Hmmm

This is not a support forum, we are not able to dig deep into logs here (that's why providing support case ID is required, when posting about technical issues). Though asking on forums is fine, it's really hard to guess the reason of this particular error without looking into logs. Above I've just pointed out the most effective way to address this issue.

Is there a chance that the SharePoint server was previously upgraded from 2007 version? Similar error was recently reported for SharePoint 2007.

Problem solved with latest Patch! And yes, we had SP 2007 and upgraded to 2010! Cheers
