Orphaned VEEAM BACKUP Snapshot

Post by guillermo.lozano »

Hello Community,

Does anyone knows if there's any feature that Veeam may have to realize when a snapshot was left behind from a previous backup, and remove it?

To Veeam: If not, could this feature be added?

Thank You.
Guillermo.-

It's already there. If for some reasons, the snapshot was left during previous job run, it should be automatically deleted during the next job run.

Also, you can use Veeam ONE with its predefined reports and alarms that notifies you about leftover snapshots' presence.

Thanks.

And if you're observing different behavior, than it's worth contacting support for verification.
