Hello,

Unfortunately, Veeam Monitor doesn't support SQL cluster installations.

Have the same issue.
I'm Sorry how could that be??? You say its enterprise solution and it is not supporting Clustered SQL. You must be joking :)
how can it matter is it a cluster or not, it is just sql server.
As I understand veeam supports sql2005. So if I Have a dedicated sql server 2005 I should be able to connect to it. And veeam connects to it and shows the DBs we have there... But after I choose the correct DB it says it is not a veeam DB...
or Veeam supports only the local sql servers??

Hello Jasco, I cannot really add much to the previous reply of my colleague except confirming it. We are working on adding cluster support in the next release. It is impossible for us to have all features at once, so we have to prioritize based on number of requests. To this date, no SQL cluster support has only been an issue for about 3-4 customers among 30K plus (including free version users).

As for regular remote SQL servers, they are fully supported (if not clustered).

Not so sure... should work out of box with sufficient permissions and SQL settings. If you are using licensed version of Veeam Monitor, feel free to open a case with our support, and they will assist you in determining the issue.

Thanks again!

So as I see in docs veeam monitor user must have admin privileges on the SQL server?
Creating a DB and making a user owner of it is not enough?
I don't this it is a common practice making every user who needs a DB an admin on the server...
So if that is the problem, Why does the software needs such permissions?
I need only an explanation, so I can describe it to the customer.
