Veeam backup and replication install .net fail
hi all, just a quick question regarding the install when it nears completion it throws up the error "Failed to execute .Net assembly. Error code: 0x8013101B" i looked up the error code but couldn't find much on it... any one have any idea how to fix this?

Backup&Replication.7.0.0.690 is the version i am trying to load on, windows 7 Pro x64

Does it have SP 1 installed? I'm asking, since VB&R supports Windows 7 SP1 and higher. Thanks.

If after installing SP1 you keep having this issue, then, you'd better open a ticket with our support team and let them address this problem directly.

updated to service pack 1 and still creates the error .NET assembly Error code: 0x8013101b any other ideas?

Did this issue ever get resolved? I just tried to install the Backup & Replication software on a Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit machine and it fails with the same "Failed to execute .net" error.

Also experiencing the same "Failed to execute .NET assembly Error code: 0x8013101B". Opened Case # 00503093.
The first response was to uninstall .NET 4.5.x and revert to .NET 4.0; that did not work.
All updates have been applied to the machine (Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Dell M6600). I will post any updates.

- re-moved any instance of SQL, veeam installer files, and attempted re-install several times.
- reverted to .NET 4.0, failed install, re-reverted to .NET 4.5.1, failed install
- attempted command prompt silent install through msiexec:"backup catalog" installed, but "backup and replication" did not. Logs toward the end indicate a failure and undoes any files installed.

- reverted to another solution. Slow but but at least works. I'll be happy to try Veeam when it works, but I'm done providing free troubleshooting.

I just got the same result (error code) using a similar configuration (Win 7 SP1 x64 + SQLEXPRESS local instance).
Opening the case the issue seems solved but the KB articles talk about different topics.
What's wrong ?

Not sure, both cases provided in this thread were closed due to no response from the customer. I recommend opening your own case for investigation.
