Quick ? about Chained jobs and retries

If a Job1 fails within a chain of jobs and retries after 30 minutes, could this kick off a start/restart of Job2 in the chain if its completed and not active any longer?

Retry is considered to be inseparable part of job. So, not until all retries are finished or one of retries is finished successfully, will the backup chain proceed to the other job. In other words, the backup chain will wait for the retry completion.

Therefore, it's usually recommended to control the number of simultaneous backup jobs by configuring the number of proxy/repository concurrent tasks.
