Hi, I'm running Veeam 4.0 with vSphere 4.0 at a customer site
I plan to upgrade to Veeam 4.1 and vSphere 4.0 U1 in January
In the meanwhile, what is the fastest replication method for vSphere with local storage (SAS disks)?
Should I choose vSphere API with wich option? SAN mode? Network mode?
Thanks for any clarification
Marco

Re: Fastest replication metod on vSphere with local storage
Hello Marco, vStorage API with Virtual Appliance mode is the fastest option for local storage, but this requires at least vSphere Advanced license. If you don't have that, the only other option is vStorage API with Network mode, which is slower due to ESX4 network backup slowness issue, but still decent with changed block tracking enabled (about 100-200MB/s for incremental passes).
Thanks!
Thanks!
