same amount of data Read /size

Post by dgatta »

Hello Sirs

Here is the report of a succesfull backup job
I ask: why for one server (the one in bold) the amount of data read is equal to the size of the VM, while this is not for the others?
which parameter must be set / adjusted?

thanks for your support

Hello, Davide. Most likely, the backup job detected that CBT data on the given VM was invalid, and failed over to reading the entire virtual disk to determine changes. The following passes should start using CBT again. Thanks!

the vm with the issue is the VM where B&R is installed onto.
It is also the Proxy based on automatic setting.
will try to change to network mode instead of hot-add

BTW this is trange: with 6.5 version, I never seen this....

thanks

This can affect performance of other VMs backup.

This behavior was the same with previous version, so probably configuration was different.

I have changed to network mode.
performance of other server are not too much penalised but:
same behaviour from the "problematic" machine (almost the tola size of HD are read)

why?

After switching to network mode have you tried to enable CBT on the said machine manually? Thanks.
