Unicode support in Enterprise manager

Hello,

Living in Norway we often use unicode characters, like Æ, Ø, Å etc. wich have caused problems during restore from enterprise manager.
In the release notes from patch 3 to veeam v.7 the following is listed

Added support for file names with Unicode characters.

Today i tried to restore through the enterprise manager, hoping uniciode was supported, but restoring a file with "Ø" in the filename failed, Client error: GetFileAttributesEx failed
So, have I missunderstood the release notes, so unicode is not supported in the EM, or do we have some other issues?

Do you have the same issue when using Veeam backup console to restore this file?

Martin, what type of restore are you trying to perform? Download files to some local location or restore to the original location?

Hello,

Restoring from the backup console is working fine. I have only tested copying to different location (console) and download (EM) since this was a test to verify that restoring files with unicode works.

There's a known issue that download does not currently work for files with Unicode characters, however restore to original location does (as well as all other types of restore via Veeam B&R console).

Тo ETA currently. Btw, apparently this limitation is documented in the release notes document:

Unicode characters are not supported in the guest file names for 1-Click File Restore file download through Enterprise Manager web UI. To workaround, use Restore to Original location, or File Level Restore wizard in Windows UI.
