Hi Guys,
is there any way to force a surebackup job create it's testing VM in Gen2 mode?
We have a Gen2 VM that when the surebackup restore job runs is restored as a Gen1
if we run a normal restore it restores as a gen2
regards,
Battlestorm

Re: SureBackup and Gen2 Hyper-V VM's?
Hi Daniel,
Not sure it is possible, but let me double-check it with our R&D team.
Thanks!

Daniel, our QC team has confirmed that all Gen2 VMs are published with the same Gen2 type. Can you please tell me what Veeam B&R are you using?

Re: SureBackup and Gen2 Hyper-V VM's?
If restored VMs are using Gen1 hardware, then I believe they cannot be booted during SureBackup job. Can you please confirm that? Also I wonder what does your SB job log say, because as far as I remember we DO log source and restored generation type for each VM used in SureBackup verification process. Can you please let our support team take a look a this log?
