Kick off Veeam replica job from within guest?

Post by dcarey »

I have an Oracle server running as a hot spare that is being log shopped too in the datacentre. It also has other db's for testing on it. As part of the process it stops the db, applies it's changes then starts the db. Within the script that does this I'd like to launch a VM replica job to our DR location prior to the DB restarting. Is this something that would be possible from within the VM itself?

Many thanks in advance

Hi, Darren, you can instruct backup console via Invoke expressions to start replication job. Replication job can be started via Start-VBRJob commandlet. Thanks.
