importing and restoring

Post by marky »

Is it possible to restore a particular reversed incremental backup when you've imported the job to a new veeam Server?

I ask because importing only seems to allow you to select the latest backup

Thanks

You can proceed and import .vbk file. As long as incrementals are stored along with it, they also will be imported to the backup console. Thanks.

Interesting because I used the import facility and could see no options for choosing a particular backup to restore or anything displayed other than the ability to restore the entire VM based of the most recent backup (which would have been a reversed incremental)

You mean you imported the full backup file to the backup console, but the incremental files stored nearby it weren't imported, and, thus, there only restore point available for you was a full one?

Backup import dialog should import all restore points that are present in the same folder next to VBK. Just to make sure, have you started the actual restore wizard and review the list of available restore points at the corresponding step? Note that in the Full VM Restore Wizard, you should click the Point button at the Virtual Machines step to display all the available restore points.

Glad to hear that you're up and running now. Feel free to ask for additional clarification, if needed.
