Better scheduling of full backup in hourly backup

Post by sanjeev.narula »

I have setup an hourly incremental backup every few hours and full backup on Friday. Now there is no way to specify at what time the full backup triggers. I would like it to start after 8PM but it starts randomly at any time of the day which can be during production hours. I am wondering if there is any way to specify it. If not, I would like to submit a feature request for this.
Thanks

You can disable active and synthetic full schedules and run full backup on demand, using this script. Thanks.

I think the first script is for synthetic fulls. I would like to do weekly full so can you please post the modified script.

The first part of the first script helps you to disable both active and synthetic full schedules; which seems to be necessary in your case. Meanwhile, the second script allows you to run full backup. Thanks.
