How to migrate database from MSSQL 2005 to local SQLExpress

I am running Veeam Backup 4.1 with database on a separate MSSQL 2005 server.

I would like to move the database to a locally installed SQLExpress.

Can anyone offer advice on how to do this safely without the risk of loosing my settings?
