Change tracking for backup jobs
Hi,
I would like to know if there's a way I can setup change tracking on all of our Veeam backup jobs. Ideally I would be sent an email when a backup job has been altered but if that's not possible then just some sort of log I can review and compare once a day. Does anyone know if this is possible at all?
Many thanks,
Ben.

Re: Change tracking for backup jobs
Hi Ben,
Could you clarify what you mean by "change tracking"? If you're referring to tracking job status, then please be aware that in Veeam B&R you can already do that via general and job email notification options.
By the way, the best thing for backup and virtual infrastructures monitoring is Veeam ONE. If you don`t have it yet, you can try it for free.
Hope this helps!

Re: Change tracking for backup jobs
I think Ben is more thinking about an audit log to trace any edit operation done to any job already existing in VBR. Not sure however how it can be done, for what I see in my lab VBR history/system does not tracks job edits.

Thanks for the reply, however I think Veeam One is more than I was looking for really. Luca is right, I just want to see if someone has changed the schedule on a job or made any amendment really.
I'll give it some background which might help. We have setup Veeam to send emails upon completion of each job, we then have a bespoke alerting system in the office that logs calls if the confirmation email was received outside of a certain time frame. Now if someone changes the schedule it messes with our alerting so I'd like to capture any alterations to any backup jobs if that's possible?
Thanks for any help or advice,
Ben.

Yep that's what I'm after and I think you're probably right that it can't be done (at least with any Veeam software).
Cheers,
Ben.

[MERGED] Log for disable job
Hello everybody!
I already look up for a answer to my question, but I don't find anything about it...
There's my question:
There's any type of log that shows me the information about disabling a job?
Thank you a lot!
