Event that monitors status of VM's service status

Post by mishomor »

Sorry if this question was asked before, I just couldn't find the answer.
Is it possible to setup event that would monitor status of Windows Service and trigger an email if service is down?

Hello,

Veeam ONE can monitor virtual infrastructure objects, we do not have any persistent agents in the Guest OS to trigger this event. As a workaround you can potentially setup any script that would watch for the required service in the Guest OS and then generate any event on the VMware level (via Power CLI). After that you could capture it with Veeam ONE and then send the email.

Out of curiosity, what service would you like to monitor?

Thank you!
