We have had (and continue to have) support from Veeam on trying to resolve problems with tape backup using a Ultrium 3-SCSI / 1x8 G2 AUTOLDR. The errors relate to Device I/O errors that occur during a job. Larger backups are difficult to achieve. The suggested solutions of ensuring up to date device drivers and Stor port settings have not yet resolved the problem. Veeam are continuing to work with us on this.
My question is - does anyone have a HP Ultrium 3-SCSI / 1x8 G2 AUTOLDR Tape system working with Veeam? If so were there any tricks to get it to work? Ours is hosted on a 2012 server with plenty of resources.

Re: Ultrium 3-SCSI Tape backup Reliability
Hello Jeremy,
Some time ago we used Ultrium 3-SCSI emulation in VTL tape libraries to test tape functionality in our labs - it was working with no issues.
Could you, please, post the correct case ID - one digit seems to be missing . Thank you.
