Windows Guest File Restore

Post by tgodon »

We had two servers hit with a virus and I need to restore data. Is there a way to have Veeam run the two restores at the same time? I currently have it copying the data for one of the servers to a local drive on the backup server and the console will not allow me to get back to the restore button to start a second restore job.

Veeam Backup & Replication for vmWare v6.5

Thanks....Tom

It is showing the data for the copy restore that is currently running. The other server that i need to restore to is not showing there. i need to run another restore for a different server.

Ok then just choose restore again. Maybe it doesn't work If you are running older Veeam than ver 7. Then it maybe works by just login as a different user on the Veeam backup server.

Hello Tom,

Could you clarify the problem?

Is the problem with restore wizard opening or choosing a restore point?

Thank you.

With the Veeam console itself. With the copy running it does not allow me to click on the restore button to kick off another restore. I believe it is due to the Backup Browser still being in use for the current restore.

I cannot even minimize the main screen because of the running job.

Tom,
Do you have any wizards open? If yes, please close it.
Are any other options of the menu(Backup Job, Replication Job etc.) disabled as well as Restore?
Thanks.

Backup Browser is open for the current job running. At this point I think I am ok, I am down to only a few minutes left on the current restore then I can start the next one.

Thanks....

Veeam B&R allows you to run several jobs simultaneously and open Backup Browser should not be a problem.

I`ve just made the same procedure you did on my virtual lab (VBRv7) and had no problems with opening 2 file restore jobs.

If the problem repeats, please contact Veeam support team.
Thanks.
