"Monthly on:" information

Post by Serge Boulet-Gendron »

Greetings,

We are currently configuring some backups and we would like to know exactly how the "Monthly on:" is working for active fulls, for example, if we set it as "First" and "Monday", and we take the current month (October), does that correspond to September 29th or October 6th?

The issue is that we might 2 active fulls on 2 consecutive days, for instance, again with the month of October, if we set the first Friday and the first Monday, there will be 2 active fulls (Friday: October 3rd and Monday October 6th) next to each others if it works with the days within the month. If it can overlap on another month we will have the intended behavior (Monday: September 29th and Friday: October 3rd).

Basically we intend to do active fulls every 4 work days.

Can anyone help us shed some light on the behavior of the software please?

Thanks a lot for your time and help.

You can schedule the following script via Task Scheduler to take place every 4 days:

Code: Select all

Get-VBRJob -name "Name of your Job" | Start-VBRJob -FullBackup
Thanks.
