Hi, could someone tell me how (and where) can I write a prescript for backup in order to stop some applications before doing a backup?
Could you also tell me if there are somewhere some preconfigured prescript that I can copy-paste?

Re: prescript backup
Hi Valentino,
Pre-job activity is one of the new features of the upcoming Veeam B&R v8 release.
In the current version there are only past-job activities. Luckily new version is going to be released in several weeks. Thanks.

Re: prescript backup
Not exactly, in the current version you can also use pre-freeze scripts. For that you need to enable VMware Tools quiescence and its pre-freeze and post-thaw scripts to prepare your application for the backup job. Here is a KB article for more information on how to trigger it > http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/micros ... Id=1006671
As to script examples, then it depends on the application you want to backup. Can you please tell me what applications you want to write scripts for?
