Moving Veeam Backups to Remote Site

Post by Mr_OCD »

Hi,

I have Veeam Backup and Replication working fine from a VM within our datacenter on a local attached SAN.

At present I have the backups going to a disk store on the network and wondered the best way of transfering these backups to a remote site over a WAN connection.

Can I manually copy these across to a remote disk store or is their a bit more to it?

I plan to backup the Veeam SQL database using tape nightly.

Any advice appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hello, yes you can do this manually or automatically. Here are some existing threads about this:

Does anyone use RecoverPoint to replicate backups off-site?
