Bug: insufficient space on USB drive creating Recovery Media

Post by Moebius »

I tried to create Recovery Media on two different 1GB USB sticks. Both times it failed with the message "Insufficient disk size for a recovery environment image".

Tried again with a 4GB USB stick; this time it succeeded. But looking back to this USB stick I see that Veeam put only 281 MB on it.

The 1GB USB targets would have been more than enough, so why did it fail?

Hello Lucio,
I am not sure why its happening - will check with QA. Meanwhile please open a support case thru the built in submit case functionality, we may need to check the logs. Thank you in advance.

Gostev, case no. 00704787. I didn't think that opening a support case was necessary in this circumstance.

Lucio,
Thank you – it is highly appreciated. We have asked you to open a support case as this behavior looks like a bug, so based on the logs provided by you we can investigate further and fix it before GA.
