Using Hyper-V proxy with On-host backup job?

Why do I get an information about "Resource not ready: Hyper-V Backup proxy" ?

I'm using Software VSS with on-host, so no proxy is used.

You are still using proxy, just on-host one. And this status means that on-host proxy has ran out of free task slots (all of them are being used to back up virtual disks of other VMs from the same host). Thanks!

Still have this "issue" - "Resource not ready: Hyper-V Backup proxy". No other backup is running, I manually pressed retry on one failed job and gets this message?

Do you mean you cannot start any job? How many VMs and disks does this job have?

I think I found the issue. All Hyper-V hosts is set to 1 task. When I tried the retry on the backup job a Replication job was running.

Yes, this is it, as tasks are shared between all jobs running on the host.
