backing up encrypted files

hey all,

using end point my backups work ok but I have a folder with personal info that is encrypted, veeam cannot back this up says failed? shadow protect could do this etc.

suggestions?

Hello Mike,
Could you please elaborate how the folder was encrypted: was it a third party tool, or with windows built it functionality? Also need some background information on how your backup job was configured: backup mode, what was selected as a source? Thank you.

Hey mate!

I just have setup a file level backup - i have a folder with some encrypted files using the built in windows encryption.

The backup does everything else bar this folder and shows that the files could not be backed up at all.

Hello Mike,

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, in the current BETA folders with the enabled windows encryption are skipped during file level backup. It’s a known issue – we are looking into this.
