Install Veeam B&R Search Server on Windows 2012

Hi all,
Is it possible to install Veeam B&R Search Server on Windows Server 2012?

When I start the installation process I get the following error:
"Veeam Backup Search can only be installed on Windows Server 2003 SP2 (including R2) or later, or Windows Server 2008 (including R2)"

Giorgio, platforms listed in the message are the only OS's supported by Veeam Backup Search according to it's system requirements.

Since it seems that Microsoft doesn't have any immediate plans to release a new version of Search Server, has Veeam started thinking about possibly supporting a different product that will work on Server 2012 R2? Like all of us, 2008 R2 isn't getting any younger.

Yes, we have started putting some thoughts into this back half a year ago. Do expect changes around Search Server in the future, even if not in the immediate future.

Reading the v9 enterprise manager manual, it looks like no support for Windows 2012 R2 yet? If so, what is the best architecture here? I'm guessing 2012 for veeam server, proxies, etc., and then use 2008 for enterprise manager?

Scott, Veeam Backup Search should be installed on a server where MS Search Server is installed, so you can install EM itself separately where you want.
