Veeam Support for Microsofts EMET

Post by CCB-IT »

Does Veeam support the use of the EMET (Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit) from Microsoft on the Backup Server and Proxies? Here is a link for those who haven't used it before:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/jj653751

I have searched the web and the forums and I have found no mention of it. We are rolling it out wherever possible and would like to have the additional protection on our Backup Server given that it has access to so much by necessity. But we don't want to waste time if it isn't properly supported.

Thanks!

Hello CCB-IT,
Honestly, I am not aware EMET was tested with Veeam B&R by QA department. I was not able to find any mentionings of such implementation across the internet either, so the only thing I can advise - is to test it in the lab before putting it into production.

That was pretty much the conclusion I drew as well. Thanks!
