Warning when backing up Veeam server

Post by ToniVR »

When we backup our Veeam B&R server (virtual, 2012 R2), we get a warning message saying:

Code: Select all

Resource response was not set
on the first line of the report of the VM.

What does this mean?

Thanks.

Toni, I cannot comment on what does this warning mean, better ask support for explanation. However, may I ask you why do you backup the entire Veeam B&R server and not just its configuration? Do you probably have some other valuable services running there?

Hi Foggy,

The server is only running B&R, nothing else.
You are correct that I should only use the config backup and not the full VM :-)

Quick solution: exclude VM from job.

Thanks!

Ah, you're adding VMs to the job using some sort of container, right (e.g. host or VM folder)? Then yes, excluding the VM is an option.
