Feature Request - Analysis Files
On the subject of analysis files to copy, I found that only looks at date modified, either, for instance.
An Outlook PST 4,6GB in Full Backup copies integer.
The next day the PST only has 1 added email, but being different modification date, copy it whole again.
The next day the PST has not changed at all, but just the fact that Outlook reads it, will change the modification date, copy it whole again.
Are you thinking some sort of file-level analysis to copy only the changed data? In such cases we are talking about the difference between copying a 100% and 0.01% of the information, with improvements in space and time that entails.
Greetings.

mdeagued,
Yes, unfortunately that’s expected behavior in the file level backup functionality we have for the v1 of the Endpoint, but of course it will be enhanced in the next versions. Thank you for pointing this out!

Dima, why is it an expected behavior? This should not be happening, because we do block-level incremental backup even in file-level backup mode. Or is there some limitation currently?mdeagued wrote:copy it whole again

Yes, apparently this is a known limitation.

Hope next version will use CBT for file level backup. Some computers we only need to backup their PST files and that why block level incremental backup for file-level is the utmost important.

Feature Request - File level incremental backup
Hello
I don't know if it's technically possible, but if yes, it would be AMAZING
