No, Veeam Endpoint will support only GA versions of Windows operating system.

its just the installer that has issues with win 10, the application "seems" to run just fine

Just to give you some feedback on this... We do indeed check the OS version and therefore Windows 10 is blocked. We will certainly support Windows 10 asap after release but considering the way Microsoft is releasing updates to the insider preview program, it would be very difficult for us to keep this under control and therefore we want to be sure that we have the windows 10 built we need to deliver a rock-solid product. I know it is a beta of windows 10, but you don't want to mess it up with VEB right

When starting the Veeam Endpoint Backup installer on Windows 10, I get this message:



I think it's better to check for a minimum version rather than specific versions.
Using compatibility mode to make Windows lie about the version fixed it.

In Windows 10, the version number jumped from 6.3 to 10.0.
NT = 4.0, Win 2000 = 5.0 XP = 5.1, Vista = 6.0, Win 7 = 6.1, Win 8 = 6.2, Win 8.1 = 6.3, Win 10 = 10.0

Thank you for the heads up. We are going to erase such limitation completely as soon as we confirm that Endpoint is fully functional with Win 10.

Because Windows 10 its a technical preview, if you can disable this check thats fine to test on this enviroment...

¿ Do you plan to give a patch or a beta refresh ?.

Thanks! Most probably this check will be eliminated in GA version. No plans for updates, since GA is going to be released soon.
